NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Michael Rolland Harris, 56, of North Adams died Sunday, January 29, 2017.

He was born in North Adams on June 8, 1960, son of Sandra (Ciolkowski) Estes and the late Rolland Harris. He graduated from Drury High School.

Michael enjoyed fishing and was a fan of the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox and Boston Celtics.

Survivors include his mother, Sandra Estes of Great Barrington; his wife and best friend, Melissa (Heisler) Harris whom he married in 2001; three sons, Michael N. Harris of North Adams, Charles Thompson of Port Orange, Fla., and Matthew Thompson of Clarksburg; four grandsons, Charles, Seth, Talan and Izaiah; one great-granddaughter, Sophia; two sisters, Tina Leavens of Brooksville, Fla., and Dawn Estes Daub of Southfield, Mass.; and nieces and nephews.
