WEST STOCKBRIDGE, Mass. — Louise M. Merlini, 69, a former West Stockbridge resident, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Hillcrest Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Pittsfield on July 19, 1947 a daughter of the late Lawrence and Nina Sullivan Jacobs. She attended schools in Pittsfield and graduated in 1965 from Cathedral High School in Springfield. Louise was primarily a homemaker. She loved animals and enjoyed traveling, playing cards and cooking.

Louise was the widow of Ido F. Merlini, who died on March 29, 2004. They were married on February 17, 1980.

Survivors include one son, Michael J. Merlini and his wife Allison of Rensselaer, N.Y.; two step-daughters, Natalie Gaul and her husband Thomas of Brockton, Mass., and Gina Merlini of Burlington, Vt.; and one step-grandson, Ben Smith.

Funeral Notice: Services will take place Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Bencivenga Home for Funerals, 5 Elm Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201 with the Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker C.S.S. officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
