NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Barbara Anne (Gattuso) Serre, 78, of North Adams died on Thursday April 27, 2017, at her home.

She was born in North Adams, Mass., on September 17, 1938, a daughter of the late Anthony and Marie (Lefebvre) Gattuso. Barbara attended Drury High School and then was a beautician for most of her life. She was a communicant of St .Elizabeth of Hungary Church.

Barbara leaves her husband of 28 years, Peter A. Serre, and their beloved dog Chip; her brother, Anthony J. Gattuso Jr. and his wife Marilyn of Naples, Fla., and Pittsfield, Mass.; a niece, Melissa Gajda; three nephews, Marc D. Gattuso, Matthew A Gattuso and Christopher Gattuso; several grandnephews and grandnieces; and a sister-in-law, Kay Gattuso of Adams, Mass.

She was predeceased by a brother, Gary A. Gattuso.

Funeral notice: A graveside service to celebrate the life of Barbara will be on Monday, May 22, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Southview Cemetery in North Adams, Mass.
