Minerva Alto Goldenson

Minerva Alto Goldenson, 86 of 1940 Park Ave., Apt. 307, Miami Beach, Florida died Thursday, October 25, 2001 at her home. Death followed a brief illness. She was born in Chicago, IL on May 13, 1915, a daughter of the late Benjamin Goldenson and Sadie (Kronick) Goldenson Astrinsky. She was educated in Chicago schools and moved to North Adams with her family in 1948. She was a longtime resident of 20 East Quincy St. in North Adams. Before her retirement, she was employed with the United Jewish Appeal in Boston, MA for more than 10 years. She and her mother moved to Miami Beach, Florida in November of 1977. While a resident of North Adams, she was an active member of Congregation Beth Israeil and its Sisterhood. She was also a member of the North Adams Chapter of Hadassah. Sirvivors include many cousins in the Berkshire County area. Funeral services will take place Sunday morning October 28, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams with the Rabbi Jeffrey Wolfson Goldwasser, Spiritual Leader of Congregation Beth Israel officiating. Burial will follow in the family lot in Beth Israel Cemetery in Clarksburg, MA. The omission of flowers is requested. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Congregation Beth Israel in care of the funeral home. There are no calling hours.
