Cody Joseph Russell, infant son of Geoffrey M. and Stephanie Kuster Russell of 240 Parliament Circle, Topsham, Maine, died at birth Saturday at Maine Medical Center in Portland. He was the grandson of Lealon and Ellen Russell of Peru. Besides his parents and paternal grandparents, he leaves a brother, Geoffrey Q. Russell at home; a sister, Rebekah Marie Kuster of Yorba Linda, Calif.; maternal grandparents Donald and Carol Kuster of Yorba Linda; and maternal great-grandparents Edward and Helen Strong of Yuma, Ariz. Among survivors are an aunt in Peru, an uncle in Pittsfield, an uncle, aunt and cousins in Wellsboro, Pa.; an uncle, aunt and cousins in Clarksville, Tenn.; a great-aunt in Hoosick Falls, N.Y.; a great-aunt in Oregon; godparents Robert and Roberta Hamlin of San Diego, Calif.; and many relatives in Massachusetts and many good friends from the Main Street Baptist Church and the Sonrise Community Church in Santee, Calif. The funeral will be Saturday at 3 at the BARTLETT-WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME in Dalton, Mass., with the Rev. Dale Morell, pastor of the Main Street Baptist Church in Brunswick, Maine, officiating. Burial will follow in South Cemetery, Peru, next to his aunt, Jennifer Russell. There are no calling hours. Following the service at the cemetery, there will be a gathering at the home of Lisa and Norman Smith on Orpin Road in Peru. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Peru Volunteer Fire Department, c/o the funeral home at 525 Main St., Dalton, MA 01226.
