Donna Goewey

Donna Marie Goewey, 50, of Collins Hill Road, Mill River, died yesterday at Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington following an automobile accident in Sheffield. Born in Great Barrington on Aug. 31, 1951, daughter of Theresa Larrive Brazie of Sheffield and the late Roland Brazie, she grew up in Alford and graduated from Mount Everett Regional School in 1969. Primarily a homemaker, she also was an entrepreneur, owning several small shops and a landscaping business. She enjoyed gardening and animals. Besides her mother, she leaves her husband, Gregory Goewey, whom she married May 21, 1977, in Lee; a son, David Goewey of Winsted, Conn.; a brother, Ronald Brazie of Egremont; three sisters, Patricia Carlson and Rose Ann Brazie, both of Sheffield, and Charlene Brazie of Pittsfield; and two grandchildren. The funeral will be Tuesday, Nov. 6, at 11 at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME, conducted by the Rev. Charles VanAusdell, pastor of First Congregational Church. The family will receive friends Monday, Nov. 5, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home.
