Geraldine Haring, 72

ADAMS, Mass. — Mrs. Geraldine E. (Meehan) Haring, 72, of Adams, Mass., died on Monday, September 25, 2017, at North Adams Commons.
She was born on North Adams on November 15, 1944, a daughter of the late George and Irene (Boulerice) Meehan. She attended schools in North Adams. Mrs. Haring worked as a seamstress for many years for the former Waverly Fabrics Co., Adams, until the mill closed in 1992. She then went to work part time for the former Swanson's Deli, Adams.
She enjoyed bowling at Valley Park, North Adams and loved playing Bingo, sewing and crocheting.
She is survived by her son, Michael Haring of Pittsfield; a daughter, Brenda Haring of Chester, Mass.; one sister, Christine LaCroix of North Adams; her former husband, Jack W. Haring of Savoy; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son, Scott Haring; and by four brothers, Philip, Ronald, Bernard and Richard Meehan.
Funeral notice: A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at 10 a.m. in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Burial will follow. There are no calling hours.
Memorial donations may be made to Geraldine's granddaughter, Jamie Willette, 81 Franklin St., North Adams, MA 01247, for a fund to be set up for her great-grandchildren.
