CLARKSBURG, Mass. — Charles R. Moran, 70, of Clarksburg, Mass., died on Thursday, September 28, 2017, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, Mass.

He was born in Clarksburg, Mass., on March 2, 1947, son of the late Arthur J. Moran Sr. and Evelyn Mae (Aubertine) Moran. He graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in North Adams, Mass. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps after graduation in June 1965. He was a decorated veteran who served in Vietnam with the 3rd Marine Division, 9th Motor Transport Battalion.

He was employed in the construction industry, working both at lumber yards and in construction sales.

Survivors include his wife, Linda (Francis) Moran, whom he married on May 13, 1972; his daughters, Jennifer Moran of North Adams, Mass. (and his beloved grand dog Tater) and Kimberly Goodell – with whom he shared his birthday (and her husband Daniel Goodell Jr.) of Clarksburg, Mass.; a granddaughter Sydney Rose Goodell of Clarksburg, Mass.; and brothers John Moran of Adams, Mass., and Thomas Moran of Clarksburg, Mass.

He was predeceased by a sister, Evelyn Moran; brothers Arthur Jr. and Edward Moran; and a half-brother Frank Brooks of Vermont.

He was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed taking care of his home and family.
