Lillian B. Jackson

Lillian B. Jackson, 90, of 118 Church St., Proprietors Field, died Sunday at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in Fall River on June 12, 1910, she attended schools there. After her marriage to Joseph E. Jackson on June 12, 1930, she moved to Portsmouth, R.I., where her husband was riding master for the children of former Rhode Island Gov. William H. Vanderbilt. They later moved to Williamstown. Mrs. Jackson was a homemaker most of her life and enjoyed cooking. She leaves four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Two sons, Joseph Lewis Jackson and Robert P. Jackson, died April 23, 1998, and in 1976, respectively, and a daughter, Cathy Arsenault, died in 1975. A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Lillian O'Hearn Jackson will be Thursday morning at 9:30 at St. John's Episcopal Church in North Adams, with the Rev. Donald Place, rector, officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. There will be no calling hours. Memorial donations are suggested for the VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire or Village Ambulance through FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, which is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include two granddaughters, Julie Menard and Beverly Sylvester, both of North Adams, and a great-grandson, Bryce Jackson Menard of North Adams. Two sons and a daughter predeceased her, Joseph Jackson, Robert Jackson and Cathy Arsenault.
