Marian Premerlani

Marian I. Premerlani, 89, of Woodhaven Drive, Scotia, N.Y., formerly of Great Barrington, died Tuesday at Baptist Health Center in Scotia. Born in Great Barrington on July 1, 1912, daughter of William and Katherine Ball McLain, she attended local schools. Mrs. Premerlani was employed by Rising Paper Mill and later was head housekeeper and head hostess at the Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge for 20 years. From 1985 to 1995, she worked at McDonald's in Glenville, N.Y. She was a member of Corpus Christi Church in Housatonic and the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Glenville. Her husband, Peter Premerlani, died in 1964. She leaves a son, Dr. William Premerlani of Glenville, and three grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow, Nov. 10, at Church of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Saratoga Road, Glenville, N.Y. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. in St. Bridgit's Cemetery, Great Barrington. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours today from 6 to 8 at GLENVILLE FUNERAL HOME, 9 Glenridge Road, Glenville. Memorial contributions in Marian's name are requested to be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Northeastern New York chapter, 6 Greenwood Drive, East Greenbush, NY 12061.
