Marian A. Doolittle, 79, of Bostwick Garden Apartments died Saturday in Sheffield at the home of her daughter Susan Law. Born in Hudson, N.Y., on Nov. 19, 1921, she was the daughter of John and Jennie Wood Hardy. She resided at Lincoln Boulevard in Greenport, N.Y., before moving to Great Barrington. Mrs. Doolittle was employed by Eden Park Nursing Home in Hudson as a secretary. Before that, she worked for the Columbia (N.Y.) County News Agency. She was a member of First Reformed Church in Hudson and Old Parish Church in Sheffield. Her husband, Robert B. Doolittle Sr., is deceased. Besides her daughter, she leaves a son, Robert B. Doolittle Jr. of Hebron, Conn.; two sisters, Madelyn Rowell of Hudson and Emma Jane White of Philmont, N.Y.; a brother, John Warren Hardy of Nassau, N.Y.; two grandsons, and several step-grandchildren. Calling hours will be tomorrow from 4 to 8 at BATES & ANDERSON Funeral Home, 110 Green St., Hudson, N.Y. Services will be conducted tomorrow at 7:30 at the funeral home by the Rev. Arthur Kauffman. Memorial services will be Wednesday at 10 at Old Parish Church in Sheffield. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
