Rose A. Pericolosi

Rose A. Pericolosi, 79, of 5 Moscow Road died yesterday at Fairview Manor after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Lee on Jan. 8, 1922, daughter of Antonio and Louise Celadon Biasin, she was a 1940 graduate of the former Williams High School. Her parents had emigrated from Montebello, Italy, to West Stockbridge. Mrs. Pericolosi was employed for several years by the former Rising Paper Mill, now Fox River Paper in Housatonic. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church and a member of its Rosary Altar Sodality, and a member of the West Stockbridge Council on Aging and the West Stockbridge Grange. Her husband, Donato E. Pericolosi, whom she married June 14, 1941, died July 3, 1990. She leaves two daughters, Louise Faggioni and Patricia Sinico, both of West Stockbridge; a brother, Victor Biasin of West Stockbridge; four sisters, Mary Censato of Richmond, Amelia Koldys Lawrence of Housatonic, Edith Raspuzzi of West Stockbridge and Norma Grant of Pittsfield; seven grandchildren, and a great-grandson. She was guardian for the two children of her son, Donald A. Pericolosi, who died in 1985. Rose A. Biasin Pericolosi, 79, died Jan. 8, 2001, at Fairview Manor after a courageous battle with cancer. Her strength was an inspiration to us all. She was the beloved Mother to Louise Faggioni and her husband Paul, and Patricia Sinico and her husband Robert, and the late Donald A. Pericolosi. Dear grandmother of Robert and Brian Sinico; Paul, Cathy and Brian Faggioni, and Anthony and Nancy Pericolosi. Special great-grandmother of Ryan Sawyer. The funeral will be Friday, Jan. 12, at 10 at HICKEY-ROY FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick's Church celebrated by the Rev. Steven F. McGuigan pastor. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends on Thursday, Jan. 11, from 5 to 8. Expressions of sympathy in Rose's memory may be made to the West Stockbridge Fire and Rescue Squad or to St. Patrick's Church, in care of the funeral home, 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230
