Rose G. Adamczyk
ADAMS, Mass. — Rose G. Penczar Adamczyk, 92, of 102 North Summer St. died Saturday evening, Nov. 10, 2001, at North Adams Commons.
Born in Lawrence on March 14, 1909, daughter of Andrew and Victoria Obara Soha, she moved with her family to North Adams as a child and attended schools there. She moved to Adams as a young woman.
Mrs. Adamczyk was employed by the former Arnold Print Works. Before that, she worked at the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Associates.
She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus' Church.
Her first husband, Walter Penczar Sr., died March 13, 1945. Her husband, Walter Adamczyk, died Feb. 5, 2000.
She leaves a son, Walter Penczar Jr. of Northampton; a brother, Henry Soha of Adams; two grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.
Predeceased by her brothers Adam and Rudolph Soha and by her sisters Wanda Soha, Helen Dubis and Janina Strek.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Adamczyk will be Wednesday at 9:15 from AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, celebrated by the Rev. John C. Chwalek, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Adams.
Calling hours will be tomorrow from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Stanislaus' Church in care of the funeral home.
