PITTSFIELD, Mass. — John A. Dowling Sr., 63, of Pittsfield, Mass., passed away April 3, 2018. 

He worked for 20 years at BCAC as the operator of the food pantry; prior to this, he worked at General Electric Company. 

He leaves behind a daughter, Sabrina Dowling; a son, John A. Dowling Rooney Jr.; six sisters, Linda Pinney, Deborah Dowling, Susan Dowling, Jean Dowling, Joann Dowling and Donna Petersen; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. He also leaves his companion, Dawn Winters.

He was predeceased by a brother, Albert Dowling, in 2015.
