Marya E. Cunningham, 48, of Becket died Wednesday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Manchester, N.H., on Aug. 22, 1953, daughter of June Richard Dahl Dawson of Suncook, N.H., and the late Henry Dahl, she grew up in Springfield and had also resided in Tennessee and Florida. She moved to Becket in 1985. Mrs. Cunningham was a licensed practical nurse. She was a member of B'nai Jacob Synagogue and several environmental and conservation organizations. Besides her mother, she leaves her husband, William Cunningham; her stepfather, Richard Dawson of Suncook; her stepmother, Beatrice Dahl of Hinsdale, N.H.; a son, Chad Lubarsky of Springfield; a daughter, Louise Howard of Springfield; a brother, Brent Dahl of Brunswick, Maine, and two grandchildren. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at HAROLD R. ASCHER & SON MEMORIAL CHAPEL, with burial in B'nai Jacob Cemetery. Memorial observance will be Sunday through Wednesday, with evening services at the home of Chad and Fatima Lubarsky, 2306 Wilbraham Road, Springfield. Donations may be made to the donor's choice or to any charity for substance abuse.
