Josephine Livecchi

Josephine Livecchi, 88, of Fenn Street died yesterday at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility, where she had been a resident since July. Born in Pittsfield on Sept. 12, 1913, daughter of Santos and Mary Livecchi Calleri, she attended Plunkett School before moving to Italy at the age of 7. She returned to Pittsfield in 1922. A homemaker, she helped her husband, Charles Livecchi, operate his barbershop on Fenn Street for many years. She was a former member of the Senior Citizens. She and her husband were married Jan. 7, 1931, in Mount Carmel Church. He died Dec. 5, 1983. She leaves a son, Joseph T. Livecchi, with whom she resided, and two grandsons. The funeral will be Tuesday at 10:30 at WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow from 9 until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
