Lillian L. Bervy

Lillian L. Bervy, 67, of Frisbee Street died Tuesday at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield following a lengthy illness. Born in New Lebanon, N.Y., on Aug. 25, 1933, daughter of George Overly Sr. and Lillian Fancher Overly, she graduated from New Lebanon Central School in 1951. She was employed by General Electric Co. in Pittsfield, Mass., for several years as a draftsman. After her marriage in 1954, she and her husband, Alexis Bervy, owned and operated Sunnyside Farm in East Chatham until 1987. Mrs. Bervy was a member of the St. James Roman Catholic Church in Chatham. Besides her husband, she leaves three daughters, Annette Demitraszck of Ravena, N.Y., Dona Bervy of East Chatham and Sonya Williamson of Rochester; two sons, Alexis Bervy III and Nicholas Bervy, both of East Chatham; a brother, Robert Overly of Canaan; a sister, Grace Cranmer of Concord, N.C., and 11 grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 from the St. James R.C. Church of Chatham with the Rev. Gary Gelfenbien offering Mass. Spring interment will be in the Cemetery of The Evergreens in New Lebanon. There are no calling hours. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Chatham Rescue Squad in care of the WENK FUNERAL HOME, Chatham, NY 12037.
