Catherine Mary Beaulieu, 82, a native and former resident of Church Street, died Monday at her home in Decatur, Ga., where she had resided for the past nine years. Born in Cheshire on Oct. 21, 1919, daughter of Arthur and Anna Coughlin Beaulieu, she attended Cheshire schools. Miss Beaulieu was employed as a secretary at General Electric Co. in the Naval Ordnance Systems Division in Pittsfield for 42 years, retiring in 1981. She was a longtime communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, where she served as a bookkeeper and was a member of its Rosary Society. After her retirement, she volunteered at Berkshire Medical Center. She enjoyed knitting and sewing items for her family. She leaves several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews, including Jean Tichler of Decatur, with whom she made her home. Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 30, at 9:15 a.m. from DERY-CHESHIRE FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, celebrated by the Rev. David Raymond, pastor. Burial will follow in Cheshire Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday, Nov. 29, from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Miss Beaulieu's memory may be made to St. Mary of the Assumption Church in care of DERY-CHESHIRE FUNERAL HOME, 121 North State Road, Cheshire, MA 01225.
