ADAMS, Mass. — Mrs. V. Gertrude "Trudy" Lennox, 100 years old, of Adams, Mass. (formerly of Voorheesville, N.Y.), passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, after a brief illness.

Mrs. Lennox retired from the New York State Library system in Albany, N.Y. Trudy traveled between her northern residence and Florida for many years. She was an avid golfer for over 60 years and loved playing bridge and Canasta.

For the past twelve years, Trudy has been a resident of Adams, Mass. She was an active member of the Mary Spitzer Senior Center in North Adams, Mass.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Lennox Sr., in 1985; her brother, Dr. O. Larry Quillen of St. Albans, W.Va.; and her granddaughter, Tina Lennox Witt of Procious, W.Va.

She is survived by three children, Jean C. Law of Adams, Mass., James A. Lennox Jr., of Procious, W.Va., and Virginia M. Collins of Mount Airy, N.C.; three grandchildren, Cindy Law Brulé, Joyce Lennox and Scott Kniskern; eight great-grandchildren; and several special nieces and nephews.

Funeral notice: Per Trudy's request, there will be no receiving or services. Donations in her memory may be made to the Mary Spitzer Senior Center or HospiceCare in the Berkshires.
