Jill (Jean) Grant

Jill Suzanne (Jean) Grant, 39, of the Good Shepherd Farm, 1725 Main Road, Stamford, Vermont died Friday morning,November 17, 200O at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington,Vt. Death followed a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Hartford, Ct. on March 11, I961 a daughter of George Edward Jean and Viola M.(Terwilliger) Jean. She attended schools in Windsor, Ct. and graduated from Windsor High School with the class of 1979. She then attended Franklin Pierce College in Rindge,N.H., graduating with a degree in English in 1982. She was a devoted mother and homemaker and was dedicated to the raising of children in a godly and loving way. She was an active member of the Stamford Community Church in Stamford, Vt. She also was a volunteer for Right to Life. Survivors include her father & mother of Bristol, Ct. Her Husband of 12 years, Steve Grant, whom she married May IO, 1986 in Tampa,Fla. (4) daughters & (2) sons: Michelle Grant, Suzannah Grant, Rachael Grant, Olivia Grant, Luke Grant & Levi Grant all of Stamford,Vt. (4) sisters & (2) brothers: Claire Coggshall, Kathleen Eastep, Linda Scanlon, Laurie Schoen, George Jean & Peter Jean, Several nieces, nephews. A memorial service of Jill (Jean) Grant will be celebrated Sunday morning at 10:45 A.M. at the Stamford Community Church in Stamford, Vt. With Pastor William Wilson officicating. Graveside services will take place Sunday at 2:00 P.M. at the family plot in Millard Cemetary, Stamford, Vt. Calling hours at the family home, 1725 Main Road, Stamford, Vt. Will take place Saturday afternoon from 12:00 Noon until 6:00 P.M. and on Sunday from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 P.M. Memorial donations are suggested for the Stamford Community Church through the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, Ma.
