Joanne Carpenter, 77

ADAMS, Mass. — Mrs. Joanne (DeRose) Carpenter, 77, of Adams, died on Thursday, November 22, 2018, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
She was born in Newton on April 24, 1941, a daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Scott) DeRose. She attended schools in North Adams. Mrs. Carpenter last worked for the former Intamar Logistics in North Adams until retiring. Earlier she had worked for the former Hunter Outdoor, North Adams, and the former Waverly Fabrics, Adams.
She was a communicant of the former St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Adams.
Her husband, Raymond G. Carpenter, whom she married on April 25, 1959, died on April 24, 1975.
She is survived by her three sons, Raymond Carpenter of Rock Hill, S.C., Scott Carpenter of Adams and Timothy Carpenter and his wife Laurie of Dennis, Mass.; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son, William Carpenter, who died on July 1, 2005; three brothers, Robert, Wayne and Charles "Sonny" DeRose; and two sisters Shirley Hebert and Delores DeRose.
