Patricia J. Boisvert, 87

ADAMS, Mass. — Mrs. Patricia Jane (Beaubien) Boisvert, 87, of Adams died on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Hanover Hill Healthcare Center in Manchester, N.H.
She was born in North Adams on February 1, 1931, the daughter of the late Hubert and Florence (Brosseau) Beaubien. She attended schools in Adams and Pennsylvania. She graduated from Yeadon High School, Yeadon, Pa. Mrs. Boisvert worked as an accountant for the former South Adams Savings Bank until retiring. Earlier she had worked for the former Berkshire County Savings Bank and the Admissions Department at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital.
Following her retirement, Patricia enjoyed traveling with her family and friends. An avid seamstress, in her later years she used her talent to make beautiful quilts. Patricia also enjoyed reading; she shared that passion with the elementary school children at Plunkett School by volunteering at the library. Patricia was also very active with the Adams Elderly Community and volunteered at the Adams Council on Aging lunch program.
She was a communicant of Notre Dame Church in Adams.
Her husband, Leonard R. Boisvert, whom she married on February 19, 1954, died on December 10, 1993.
She is survived by her three children, whom she and Leonard raised in Cheshire: daughters Barbara Michaud and her husband John Yarmo of Candia, N.H., and Ellen "Sam" Presnick and her husband Todd of Chicago; a son, Mark Boisvert of Jackson, Wyo.; two grandsons, Scott and Jesse Michaud; and two great-grandchildren, Benjamin Michaud and Zoe Bates.
Funeral notice: Funeral services and burial will be at a later date in the spring to be announced. Memorial donations may be made to Adams Council on Aging or The Cheshire Volunteer Fire Department through the Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, which is in charge of arrangements.
