PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Arthur Edward LaFountain, 49, of Pittsfield, Mass., died Monday, December 17, 2018, at Berkshire Medical Center. 

He was born in North Adams, Mass., on February 12, 1969, a son of Alice Lorraine (Bennett) LaFountain and the late Arthur Bernard LaFountain. He attended local schools. 

Arthur was last employed at Hi Tech Mold and Tool as a machinist. He also enjoyed working with his father in the state of Florida doing construction and renovating homes.

Survivors include his mother, Alice LaFountain of Cheshire; his wife, Agnes Mary (LaJoie) LaFountain, whom he married on April 15, 2004; two daughters, Alicia Lafountain of Williamstown and Alice LaFountain of Lanesborough; two sons, Arthur LaFountain of North Adams and Seth Griffin of Adams; three grandchildren, Jayden, Malachi and Gia; and a sister, Terry LaFountain of Cheshire.

Funeral notice: Calling hours for Arthur LaFountain will be on Saturday, December 29, 2018, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Flynn and Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapel, 74 Marshall Street, North Adams, Mass. Burial will be private.
