Anna Tatsapaugh

Anna Tatsapaugh, 90, of Canaan-Clayton Road died Tuesday at Great Barrington Healthcare and Nursing Center, where she had been a resident since October. Born in Garfield, N.J., on May 7, 1911, daughter of John and Elizabeth Bruncz, she attended schools there. She moved to Sheffield in the late 1920s. Mrs. Tatsapaugh was employed by Bitterman's Electric in Canaan, Conn., in the mid-1970s, where she was an inspector. Previously she had worked at General Electric Co. and for various individuals providing private home care. She enjoyed her flower gardens and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her husband, Horace Tatsapaugh, whom she married April 15, 1927, in Ossining, N.Y., is deceased. She leaves a daughter, Mildred Shmulsky of Sheffield; a son, H. Randal Tatsapaugh of Greensboro, N.C.; a sister, Julia Westrod of Smyrna, Del.; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be Saturday, Dec. 8, at 1 p.m. at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME, conducted by the Rev. Edward Eastman, pastor of Grace Bible Church. Burial will follow in the family plot in Ashley Falls Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
