Camile G. Ford

Camile G. Ford, 98, of Miami Lakes, Fla., died Thursday at Heart Land Health Care Center in Miami Lakes. Her husband, attorney J. Francis Ford, was a former resident of Lee. He died April 3, 1983. Born in Denver on Aug. 19, 1903, daughter of E. and Emilie Hinz Geneau, she attended schools there. She earned her bachelor of arts degree in education from Florida State College for Women and her master's degree in government from George Washington University. She also took law courses. After teaching in several high schools, she was appointed assistant supervisor of business education for the Jacksonville, Fla., schools. Following her graduation from the university, she accepted a position with the Senate Rules Committee. She lived most of her life in Baltimore. Mrs. Ford was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority, the American Association of University Women, and the Business and Professional Women's Club. Mrs. Ford is survived by her niece, Patricia Swenson Morceau, and a great-nephew, Roger Stanton Morceau, both of Miramar, Fla., along with several other nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Ford family plot in St. Mary's Cemetery in Lee. Visiting hours at KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee will be Tuesday from 8 until the time of the service.
