Nancy A. Luczynski, 57

HINSDALE, Mass. — Nancy Anne (Whitmire) Luczynski, 57, of 481 Maple St., Hinsdale, Mass., passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 31, 2019. 

Born in Pittsfield on February 9, 1961, she was the daughter of the late William F. Whitmire and Gloria (Quinlan) Whitmire of Pittsfield. She was a 1979 graduate of St. Joseph High School and attended Berkshire Community College.  

Nancy held many positions throughout her life, including Water Front Directer, Lifeguard, Camp Councilor, and Deli Manager, but her passion was cooking and she worked as a chef/cook for several businesses and restaurants throughout Berkshire County. Nancy enjoyed NASCAR, football, Ice fishing, and the Boston Red Sox. She also loved gardening, concerts, and had a deep respect for wildlife and the enviroment. 

An animal lover, she enjoyed her pets Sissy, Morgan and Dexter. She also found it a duty, honor, and privlege to always thank a veteran for their service and sacrafice. Her greatest joy was being a grandma. 

She leaves behind her best friend and husband, Daniel F. Luczynski of Hinsdale, Mass.; her two sons, Derick Carlson of Lanesborough, Mass., and Travis Carlson and wife Janine of Nashua, N.H.; her grandchildren, Kaelynne, Mason, and Natalie Carlson; her mother-in-law, Jacqueline Luczynski of Boynton Beach, Fla.; her stepson, Torrey Luczynski of North Adams, Mass.; her sisters Darlene Bonacquisti and husband Ron of Pittsfield, Mass., Sandra Whitmire of Pittsfield, Mass., and Mary Ellen Rahilly of Pittsfield, Mass.; close longtime friend Scott Pickard of Pittsfield, Mass.; many nephews and nieces; and many, many, friends. 

She was predeceased by her brother, William M. Whitmire. 

Funeral notice: Following her wishes there will be a private mass at 9 a.m. March 1, 2019, at St. Joseph Church in Pittsfield, Mass. Donations in her memory may be made to Bluebird Farm (Cara Petricca Animal Sactuary) 631 Outlook Ave., Cheshire, MA, 01225.
