NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Brigetta Ella-Mae "Gigi" (Seely) Whalen, 51, of North Adams, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2019, at her home.

She was born in Hopkinton on Sep. 6, 1967, daughter of Vernon George Seely and Eloise Edwards Seely. She graduated from Hopkinton High School with the class of 1985.

Gigi was last employed by the town of Danbury, N.H., as an administrative assistant. Before that, she operated her own home daycare service in Belmont, N.H. Gigi was an animal lover and she enjoyed being online.

Survivors include her daughter, Heather Lee-Ann Burns of North Adams, and her son, Timothy John Whalen Jr. of North Adams. She also leaves two brothers, Dennis Seely of Uxbridge and John Seely of Mashpee; one sister, Tamara Dafiotis of Worcester, and nieces and nephews. Her sister, Candace Seely,is deceased.
