Clyde 'Buzz' Johndrow, 86

ADAMS, Mass. — Clyde "Buzz" Johndrow, 86, of Adams, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2019, at the Albany Medical Center in Albany, N.Y.
Born in Adams on April 29, 1932, he was the son of the late Leroy and Carrie Dziok Johndrow and attended Adams schools. Buzz was employed for 21 years for the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams; he was also a bartender for several local establishments for many years. He was an Army Korean War Veteran, where he was a member of the Green Berets.
Buzz spent most of his time where he also worked, Custom City Cycle in Adams, and where he was known as the road captain for the annual Fall Run since 1982. He was a member of the Mountain Club, the Maple Grove Civic Club, the Adams Turn Hall, and the Greylock Club. In his younger years he enjoyed bowling.
Buzz is survived by a sister-in-law, Thelma Johndrow of North Caroline; numerous nieces and nephews; and his long-time friend and caregiver, Michael Robert of Adams.
He was predeceased by a brother, Leroy Johndrow.
Funeral notice: Calling hours for Buzz will take place Saturday, March 2, 2019, from 10 a.m. to noon from the Trottier Pringle Funeral Home, 6 Summer St., Adams, MA 01220. Burial will be at a later date in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams. Donations in his memory can be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children in care of the funeral home.
