Kathleen J. Pedercini, 84

ADAMS, Mass. — Miss Kathleen Joan “Kay” Pedercini, RN, 84, of Adams died Sunday morning, February 24, 2019, at North Adams Commons.
She was born in North Adams on September 15, 1934, a daughter of the late George A. and Katherine M. (Hickey) Pedercini. She attended North Adams schools, and graduated from the former St. Joseph’s High School in 1954. She attended the former St. Luke’s School of Nursing in Pittsfield, graduating as a Registered Nurse in 1957. She also graduated from the former North Adams Regional Hospital School of Anesthesiology in 1966.
Kay last worked as a Registered Nurse at North Adams Regional Hospital, until retiring in 1996. Earlier, she had worked at the former W.B. Plunkett Memorial Hospital in Adams, the former Putnam Hospital in Bennington, VT, Hillcrest Hospital in Pittsfield; and had worked as Director of Nursing at the former Adams Nursing Home and at Springside Nursing Home in Pittsfield.
She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish, North Adams, and was a member of the St. Luke’s School of Nursing Alumni Association. She was a member and past president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 310 Auxiliary, North Adams.
She is survived by four nephews, Timothy Pedercini, Matthew Spencer, Brian Spencer and Michael Spencer; two nieces, Ellen Marszalek and Nancy Pedercini-Acquista; nine great nephews, including Michael Pedercini, Seamus Spencer, Anthony Spencer, Phillip Spencer, MJ Spencer, Ian Spencer, Devon Marszalek, Jakub Marszalek and Dominic Acquista; six great nieces, including Sarah Pedercini, Theresa Spencer, Summer Spencer, Skylar Spencer Cecilia Rose Marszalek, Gina Eve Marszalek, Kendra Kordana and Sophie Acquista; and one great great nephew, Oliver Potter.
She was predeceased by her sister, Helenann Spencer; her brother, William Pedercini, and a nephew, Patrick Spencer.
Funeral notice: The funeral will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at 8:45 a.m. from the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Elizabeth’s Church, North Adams, celebrated by Rev. Dariusz Wudarski, Pastor. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams.
