Robert 'Humpy' King, 69

ADAMS, Mass. — Mr. Robert Lee "Humpy" King, 69, of Adams, died on Sunday, March 3, 2019, at UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on February 22, 1950, a son of the late Dolores Harrington. He attended schools in Pittsfield and graduated from Pittsfield High School with the class of 1969. Mr. King last worked as a truck driver for Cariddi Auto in North Adams until his retirement. Earlier he had worked for Williams College, Hunter Outdoor, Berkshire Mental Health, Hickory Bills Catering and the former Peking Restaurant in North Adams.
He enjoyed being outddors, building puzzles, fishing and watching football.
He is survived by his wife, the former Penny Gardner, whom he married on April 29, 2005; five daughters, Kenyen Doty of Lee, Maine, Bobi Jo Braman and her companion Mike Williams of North Adams, Brenda Shepard and her husband Michael of Adams, Morissa Gardner and her companion John Trombley of North Adams, and Gabrielle Sawtelle and her husband Robert of North Adams; two brothers, James and Lawrence Hill, both of Pittsfield; four sisters, Michelle Hill of Pittsfield, Monya Marie Black of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Manzelle Morton of Pittsfield and Kimetha Hill of Pittsfield; his former wife and friend, Brandi Cassidy and her daughters, Danielle and Haley Lemay; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother John “Dexter” Hill.
Funeral notice: A Celebration of Life for Humpy will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2019, at 2 p.m. in the Community Room at 150 Ashland St., North Adams. Family and friends are invited to attend. The Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, is in charge of arrangements.
