Ronald D. Odell Sr., 76

BENNINGTON, Vt. — Ronald D. Odell Sr., 76, a resident of BenMont Avenue passed away unexpectedly on March 25, 2019, in North Adams, Mass.
The son of Walter and Mary (Sorel) Odell, he was born in North Adams on August 30, 1942. He grew up in North Adams, where he attended school. Ron had worked as a delivery driver for Modern Dairy; he also worked at Mack Molding and at The Vermont State Office Building in Bennington.
Ron thoroughly enjoyed his time as the weatherman for radio station WBTN. He enjoyed bowling, playing horseshoes, going fishing and, in earlier years, hunting.
He leaves his sons, Ronald D. Odell Jr. of Williamstown, Mass., and Harold E. Thomas of Adams; daughters Bernice S. Deraway and Marcia J. Moon, both of Clarksburg; grandchildren Samantha J. Odell of Adams, Mass., Bradley David Odell at MCLA and Nicholas David Odell of Clarksburg, Mass.; and his longtime friend Fran Perry of North Adams.
He was predeceased by his wife Edna Odell, who died in 2000.
