Regina Olszewski

Regina Olszewski, 80, of Ryan Terrace, Housatonic, died yesterday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Easthampton on April 16, 1921, daughter of Peter and Mary Olbrys Olszewski, she moved to Housatonic as a child and was a 1939 graduate of the former Searles High School. She worked for Southern Berkshire Electric Co. for 10 years before moving to Boston in 1956, where she was an office clerk for the Merchant Tire Co. She retired in 1983 and returned to Housatonic. Miss Olszewski enjoyed knitting, baking and flower gardening, and was a fan of the Boston Red Sox. She leaves two brothers, Edward Olszewski of Lenox and Frederick P. Olszewski of East Otis, and four sisters, Mary Bailly of Housatonic, Rose Olszewski of East Otis, Cecilia Neves of Lenox and Irene Wall of Colonia, N.J. The funeral will be Thursday, Dec. 13, at 2 at HICKEY-ROY FUNERAL HOME, with the Rev. William Wallis officiating. Burial will follow in St. Bridget's Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends Thursday from 1 to 2.
