PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Carlton William Moore Jr., 71, of 88 Cromwell Ave., Pittsfield, Mass., passed away April 24, 2019, at home. 

He was born in Pittsfield on February 24, 1948, to Carlton W. Moore Sr. and Marjorie Armstrong Moore. 

Mr. Moore was a United States Army Veteran, having served during Vietnam. He worked as a self-employed truck driver. He enjoyed painting, making jewelry, doing car body work and loved cats and helping people. 

He is survived by his daughters, Marjorie Garcia of Seven Springs, N.C., and Patricia McLoud of Los Angeles, Calif.; sons Carlton W. Moore of Massachusetts and Scott E. Moore of Lee, Mass.; his half-brother, George Brown of N.Y.; and five grandchildren. 

Funeral notice: Funeral services for Mr. Moore will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at 2 p.m. at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, April 30, 2019, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield.
