ADAMS, Mass. —  John L. Bresett Jr. passed away at the age of 87 at his home in West Palm Beach, Fla., on July 26, 2019. 

He was born on August 31, 1931. He graduated with the class of ‘48 from Adams High School. After graduating, he joined the Marines, where he was a company clerk (Radar's job on "MASH"). 

Immediately after leaving the Marines, he was hired by General Electric, where his career spanned 40 years. After his retirement from GE, he took on work as a security guard.

He was best known for his love of sports, cars, fishing, country music and the Saratoga race track. 

He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Mildred M. Bresett, who left this earth on April 8 of this year. He also was predeceased by his parents, John L Bresett (Buster) and Frieda Bresett. 

He leaves behind a sister, Shirley; a brother Bill and his wife Betty; three children, Denise Maselli and her husband Michael of Stamford, Vt., John D. Bresett of Cheshire, Mass., and Robert Bresett and his wife Betty of Boyton Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren; five great-grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews.
