Romolo L. Guarda

Romolo L. Guarda, 68, of 5 Pine St., formerly of West Stockbridge, died Saturday at Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington. Born in Richmond on March 6, 1933, son of Dominic and Aurelia Pellizaro Guarda, he graduated from the former Williams High School. Mr. Guarda retired from West Bridge Associates in West Stockbridge, where he was a caretaker for its properties, including the Card Lake Hotel and the Shaker Mill Tavern. Before that, he worked at the former Monument Mills. He leaves a nephew and two nieces. The funeral will be celebrated tomorrow, Dec. 18, at 10 at HICKEY-ROY FUNERAL HOME by the Rev. Anthony Jutt, pastor of Corpus Christi Church and All Saints' Church. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends today from 4 to 7. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to Corpus Christi Building Fund in care of the funeral home, 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230.
