NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Mr. John T. Alcombright, 85, of North Adams, died on Saturday, September 7, 2019, at North Adams Commons.

He was born in North Adams on November 13, 1933, a son of the late John and Ruth (Crapo) Alcombright. He attended schools in North Adams.

Mr. Alcombright worked as a security guard for the former Arnold Print Works, Adams, until his retirement. Earlier he had worked for the former General Electric Co., Pittsfield.

His wife, the former Catherine Gunn is deceased.

He is survived by a son, Raymond Alcombright and his wife Lisa of Adams; a brother, Stephen Alcombright of North Adams; a half-brother Alan Alcombright of Savoy; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a half-brother, James Alcombright; and by a sister Beverly Wright.
