Diana Liszka

Diana Liszka, 89, of 32 Richmond St. died yesterday at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in Adams on Dec. 8, 1912, daughter of Joseph and Katherine Hospod Gorczyca, she attended local schools. Mrs. Liszka was employed as a weaver at the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Associates for many years. She retired when the mill ceased operations in 1957. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus' Church. Her husband, Frank Liszka, whom she married May 30, 1936, died Jan. 12, 1967. She leaves two daughters, Joan Smigel and Nancy Walsh, both of Adams; a sister, Ferdinanda Wells of Lenox, and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, Frank and Walter Gorczyca, and three sisters, Blanche Noel, Wanda Rowett and Victoria Yergian. The funeral will be Monday at 9:15 from AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, by Rev. John C. Chwalek, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4 to 6 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Stanislaus Church through the funeral home.
