Wayne Henry Sagendorph, 60, of West Coxsackie, a former resident, died Tuesday at the Community Hospice at Columbia Memorial Hospital, Hudson, N.Y. Born in Pittsfield on July 5, 1941, son of Wilson and Martha Patience Sagendorph, he graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1959. He was employed by GE for 13 years. He moved to Coxsackie in 1976 and became the owner of the Coxsackie Motel. He leaves his wife, the former Winifred Ostrander, whom he married March 12, 1960, in Pittsfield; three daughters, Sheila Brady of Athens, N.Y., Elaine Banach of Delmar, N.Y., and Jean Sagendorph of Rego Park, N.Y.; two brothers, Wilson Sagendorph and Wesley Sagendorph, both of Pittsfield; a sister, Phyllis Antonangeli of Pittsfield; and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11:30 at the SOPRIS FUNERAL HOME INC., Rte 9, W. Coxsackie, N.Y. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may call after 10:30 on Thursday. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. For those who desire, a memorial contribution to the Community Hospice of Columbia-Greene, 47 Liberty St., Catskill, NY 12414 would be appreciated.
