Kenneth Charron

Kenneth Paul Charron, 67, of 12 Powers St. died Monday at North Adams Regional Hospital shortly after being admitted. Born in Chicopee Falls on Aug. 21, 1934, son of Harvey H. and Paula Marie Perreault Charron, he attended schools in Chicopee and Springfield. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving as an airman first class with the Air Force. He was employed by IBM Corp. for 35 years, most recently as an air traffic control specialist, and retired in 1994. He lived in many areas of the United States and returned to Adams five years ago. Mr. Charron attended St. Stanislaus' Kostka Church and was a member of the Adams Zoning Board of Appeals. He leaves three sons, Michael Charron of St. Paul, Minn., Christopher Charron of Des Moines, Iowa, and Timothy Charron of Albert Lea, Minn.; a sister, Patricia Leatherwood of Kingsport, Tenn., and six grandchildren. Mr. Charron also leaves his friend, Frances Therrien. The funeral will be Friday at 9:15 from AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Stanislaus' Kostka Church, celebrated by the Rev. John C. Chwalek, pastor. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home.
