One of my favorite memories of Gail is being in Girl Scouts together. She was a receipent of the Marian Award and worked hard to achieve ironically she will be laid to rest on March 12,the day Girl Scouts was founded. Wish I could quickly find the picture. She called me about 10 pm a few weeks ago to tell me she received the book I had left for her at the Nursing Home. She was chatty and bouyant as always. Such a great lady and sister to Art. She leaves a huge hole in our world.

One of my favorite memories of North Adams involves Gail. February of last year, I interviewed her at Empire Cafe to prepare for a poem we were doing together for WordxWord. She told me about growing up in the city, her childhood, starting out as a nurse - she gave me a tour of life in North Adams in decades past, and it will remain as one of my favorite conversations. Rest well, Gail!
