Bernice Brighenti

Bernice E. Brighenti, 78, of 289 Golden Hill Road died yesterday at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield after a long illness. Born in Lee on Aug. 22, 1923, daughter of Leslie and Myrtle Webb Cheney, she was educated in local schools. She was employed as a paper inspector for many years at Hurlbut Paper Co. and later at Mead Paper Co. in South Lee. Her husband, William J. Brighenti, whom she married Feb. 15, 1947, died Sept. 22, 1994. She leaves four sons, Michael Brighenti of Middlefield, Douglas Brighenti of Salisbury, N.H., James Brighenti of Lee and Donald Brighenti of Westminster; a brother, Robert Cheney of Lee; a sister, Berna Passetto of Lee; seven grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. A son, John Brighenti, died Sept. 18, 1985.
