Jean R. Phaneuf, 52

ADAMS, Mass. — Jean R. Phaneuf, 52, of Adams died Wednesday afternoon, April 29, 2020, at her home, with her family at her side.

She was born in North Adams on March 28, 1968, a daughter of the late Roland R. and Helen V. (Stahowski) Phaneuf, and attended North Adams schools, graduating from Drury High School with the Class of 1986. Jean last worked as a dietary aide at Sweetwood in Williamstown. Earlier, she had worked at Sweet Brook Care Center in Williamstown.

She was the caregiver for her son, Anthony, for many years. She was an avid photographer and enjoyed the outdoors.

She is survived by her daughter, Alison Pansecchi and her fiancée, Josh Atwell, of Adams; her son, Anthony Pansecchi of Adams; a sister, Mary Phaneuf of North Adams; a brother, Steven Phaneuf of North Adams; her son’s caregiver, Lee Roy of Adams; her former husband, Joseph Pansecchi of Adams; as well several nieces and nephews.

Funeral notice: A celebration of Jean’s life will be held on a date to be announced, when current restrictions are lifted.
