NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Bette Joan (Gross) Cross, 72, of North Adams, Mass., died Wednesday June 3, 2020, at Berkshire Medical Center.

She was born in Clarksburg, Mass., on April 5, 1948, a daughter of Edmund and Dorothy (Harvey) Gross. She attended Clarksburg schools.

Bette was last employed as a greeter at Wal-Mart in North Adams but was primarily a homemaker. She was devoted to her family. Bette was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church. She enjoyed knitting and sewing.

Survivors include her husband, Frederick William Cross Jr.; one daughter, Joan Marie Cross of North Adams; two sons, William David Cross of Adams and Scott Timothy Cross of North Adams; three grandchildren- McKenna, David and Wyatt; one sister, Judy St. Jacques of Florida, Mass.; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral notice: A memorial service for Bette Cross will be Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at 11 a.m. at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS CENTRAL CHAPELS, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA.
