Angela Walker, 56

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Angela (Zelazo) "Angie" Walker of Quincy, Mass., died Sunday, July 12, 2020, at BWH/Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. Born in North Adams, Mass., she was 56.

She was the beloved wife of Anthony W. "Tony" Walker of Quincy; the loving mother of Michaela J. of California, Bethany R. of Dorchester, and Alicia C. and Nolan A., both of Quincy; the cherished daughter of Catherine (Perenick) Zelazo of Adams and the late Edward S. Zelazo; and the sister of Constance of Connecticut, Timothy of Drury, Martina of Virginia, Marianna of North Adams, Anthony of Adams, Louis of Drury and the late Peter.

Angie was best friends with her husband Tony; she was mom, mentor and gem at the center of the universe for her kids. She was the magnet who brought her very large, extended family together and will remain the glue keeping all our lives together. Her family covers the globe, from coast to coast in the U.S.A., to Germany, where her dearest daughter Roberta and her husband Sven are growing their family, and to China, home to her daughters Yuze, Wanting, Wanqing and Sonia.

If you were Angie's friend, you know the story. She wore a constant smile, was giving, caring, compassionate and inviting. If you weren't Angie's friend, you hadn’t met her yet. Talk to one of her friends and you will understand.

Angie's calling was helping others, sharing her heart and her home. She had a lot more giving left in her. But she was taken way too early. We all will miss her terribly. But we NEVER will forget her.

Pay tribute to Angie by sharing a smile and a helping hand with someone in your family or circle of friends who could use it. It's easy, give it a try.

Funeral notice: Rather than sending flowers, please contribute in any way possible to The Dana Farber Cancer Institute, in Angie's name, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.

Services will be private but please share a condolence message online or record a personal "Send Hugs" video to Angie's family to comfort them. Visit www.Keohane.com or call 1-800-KEOHANE for information.

The best aunt anyone could ever wish for! All my friends who ever met her remember her with fondness too. She was the warmest, most loving and welcoming person you could ever hope to meet yet she also had firm opinions and beliefs and confidently stuck to them. She leaves a huge hole in the family will always be missed.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Angie’s family. She was such a beautiful soul! I have so many fond memories playing basketball with her. She was not only a great athlete but an even better teammate. We all had a very special bond back then thanks in part to Angie’s leadership and friendship. She had the most beautiful smile and personality. She had a nickname for all of us and no matter what always found a way to make us laugh!! RIP Angie!!! 🙏❤️

My heart broke when I heard the sad news. I have fond memories of babysitting all the Zelazo kids. I never got to know her as an adult. In my heart Angie will always be that sweet little girl that I remember.
My condolences to the whole family.
