Kristin Rougeau, 38

FLORIDA, Mass. — Kristin Louise Smith Rougeau, 38, of the town of Florida, died on Saturday, July 18, 2020, as a result of a motorcycle accident.

She was born in North Adams on Jan. 11, 1982, a daughter of Diane Marie Poirot Smith and the late Louis Smith. She attended Gabriel Abbott Memorial School in Florida and graduated from Drury High School in North Adams.

She was last employed at DataFlute in Pittsfield and, before that, Walmart and Crane & Co. Kristin enjoyed motorcycling and snowmobiling and spending time with her family.

Besides her mother, Diane Marie Smith, and her husband, Daryl Rougeau, and a son, Devin Rougeau, she leaves her sister, Tracy Lynn Duquette and her husband, John, and her niece, Makayla Duquette. Kristin also leaves her mother-in-law, Ruth Lennon, and brothers-in-law Robert Rougeau and Dwane Rougeau and his wife, Stacy, as well as many loving friends.

Funeral notice: Calling hours for Kristin Rougeau will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2020, at Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will take place Saturday morning at 10 a.m. in the Florida Church Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Devin Rougeau Education Fund through the funeral home. We are sorry for your loss as we've met Kristin while she was working at Wal-Mart and always pleasant to talk to matter where she was seen whether it was at Wal-Mart,Big Y or Papa Gino's she was the type of person that always had a smile on her face and always acknowledged you whenever she seen you,she would always say Hi how are you,she had a great personality and truly an amazing person,we are grateful to have known her,she will be missed by all but certainly not forgotten,Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Sue and I thought the world of Kris, there was always a big hug and I love you when we saw her. She was always the most upbeat and bubbly person you could meet, our hearts are deeply saddened.
