Theresa Lepine, 93

CHESHIRE, Mass. —  

Theresa Elizabeth (Wiater) Lepine of Cheshire, MA passed away peaceful on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at the age of 93.

She was born in Cheshire on July 19, 1927, the seventh child of the late Jacob and Katarzyna (Kolis) Wiater. She attended schools in Cheshire and graduated from the old Adams High School on Liberty Street with the class of 1945. She was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Cheshire. Mrs. Lepine last worked for Berkshire Machine Shop until her retirement. Earlier she had worked at Sprague Electric Company in North Adams, where she met her husband, William E. Lepine. They married in 1951 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Adams and were married for 44 years until he passed away on September 5, 1995. She enjoyed cooking; especially Polish cuisine, sewing, shopping, growing vegetables and flowers in her garden and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren whom she proudly displayed their photos throughout her house. Her three daughters and four sisters were her best friends whom she loved to laugh with.

Mrs. Lepine is survived by and will be missed by her three daughters, Susan Cota of Atlanta, GA, Katherine Lepine of Cheshire, and Ann Atwell of Adams; her nine grandchildren, Holly Cota of Atlanta, GA, Scott (Katie) Cota of Decatur, GA, Erica Atwell of Northampton, Ethan Atwell of Adams, Bill Lepine of Riverton, WY, Kay Lepine of Rock Springs, WY, Rene Atwell of Adams, Halie Atwell of Pittsfield and Batya Atwell of Cheshire; her two great grandchildren, Max and Timothy Cota of Decatur, GA; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins including two special nephews, Ernie Bissaillion of Merrimac, NH, and Mark Bissaillion of Cheshire. She is preceded in death by her husband William Lepine, her son Bill Lepine and her nine brothers and sisters.
