Martha Asma-Roberts

Martha E. Asma-Roberts, 39, of 1014 Main St. died Friday at home. Born in Geneva, N.Y., on Jan. 30, 1962, daughter of H. John and Ellen Bradford Asma, she attended Pennsylvania schools and graduated from Pennsbury High School in Fairless Hills, Pa. She also graduated from Millersville (Pa.) University, where she received her bachelor's degree in business administration. She had resided in Purdys, N.Y., before moving to Becket in September. Mrs. Asma-Roberts was employed by the New York City branch of Bayerische Landesbank Girozentralefor 11 years as vice president of marketing, retiring in August 2000. She and her husband, George E. Roberts II, were married June 9, 1990.Besides her husband and parents, of Morrisville, Pa., she leaves twins, a son, Louis John Roberts II, and a daughter, Cassidy Jeanne Roberts, both at home; a brother, John F. Asma of Katy, Texas, and two sisters, Elizabeth Murphy of San Antonio and Jeanne Asma of LaGrange, N.Y. A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday, Jan. 16, at 11 at Congregational Church of Becket in Becket by the Rev. Robert Withers, pastor. Burial will take place at a later date in North Becket Cemetery. The family will receive friends tomorrow from 4 to 7 at DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 Main St., Dalton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to HospiceCare of the Berkshire in care of the funeral home.
