Donald Pelkey, 74

Donald Edwin Pelkey 74 of Windsor, MA. died Wednesday February 10m 2021 at his home. He was born in Pittsfield on September 29, 1946 a son of the late Louis and Arlene (Buchwald) Pelkey. He graduated from Pittsfield High School with the class of 1964 and was a decorated veteran of the United States Army serving as a tank mechanic, expert rifleman and received the National Defense Service Medal.

Donald was employed at Crane Company as a beater engineer for 32 years and was a master stone mason. He enjoyed family picnics, holiday gatherings, hunting, fishing, gardening and auto body work.

Survivors include his three children, Robert Pelkey and his wife Tricia, Jody Eaton and her husband Russell and Todd Pelkey and his companion Angel Esposito.

Eight grandchildren Trevor Pelkey, Brandon Pelkey, Dustin Eaton, Lucas Pelkey, Madysen Pelkey, Kaylan Pelkey, Maysn Pelkey and Meeya Pelkey. Donald also leaves his younger brother David Pelkey and his wife Alice and one sister Cindy Wise. He was predeceased by his older brother David Pelkey and his twin sister Lorraine Watson.

Bobby so sorry to hear of your dad’s passing my heart breaks for you and your family.Donnie was a great friend to me we enjoyed many fun times together fishing and hunting especially our years spent bow hunting in Ct.We had many memorable hunts and a lot of laughs those were the best of times.I truly miss those days as I will him.

Your dad was a second dad to me, Carrie and Kristen. He was my dad's best friend and a wonderful friend with my mom. He's been there my whole life and I am entirely grateful for that.
