Harvey Hamelin, 92

ADAMS, Mass. —
Mr. Harvey Francis Hamelin, 92, of Adams, died on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
He was born in North Adams on July 29, 1928, son of the late Francis and Blanche (St. Pierre) Hamelin. He attended schools in North Adams and graduated from Drury High School.
Mr. Hamelin was a Veteran of World War II, having served with the United States Marine Corps, receiving his Honorable Discharge of September 20, 1949.
Mr. Hamelin worked as a foreman for the former Pfizer Corporation in Adams until retiring in 1991. He then went on to work as a consultant for Specialty Minerals until 1995.
He was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II at Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, Adams. He was a member of the Adams Post 160 American Legion and the Adams Lodge of Elks.
His wife of 70 years, the former Helen A. Baribeau, whom he married on May 29, 1950, died on October 4, 2020.
He is survived by two daughters, Carol Lawson and her husband Keith and Ruth Lennon, all of Adams; one son, Craig Hamelin of Cheshire; seven grandchildren, Dwane, Daryl and Robert Rougeau, Holly Kresiak, Brian Lawson and Scott and Evan Hamelin; five great grandchildren, Layla, Colby, Eric and Devin Rougeau and Lador Lawson, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held on Friday, May 14, at 10:30 A.M. from the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. in Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, McKinley Square, Adams.
Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams.
