NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Robert Lamoureux, 87 of North Adams, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2021, at the Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. 

Born in Adams on January 5, 1934, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Jessica I Sherman Lamoureux, he attended Adams schools. 

Robert was employed for the former Adams Supermarket In Adams for 10 years, and then for the former W.R. Grace Co. in Adams as a machine operator for 20 years and where he retired. 

He was a well-known runner and marathoner for many years. 

He is survived by his wife the former Jeannine Durocher, whom he married in May 1987. Seven surviving Daughters, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

He was predeceased by a brother, John Lamoureux. 

Services and burial in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams are private, there are no calling hours. Donations in his memory can be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in care of the TROTTIER PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St. Adams, MA 01220 who is in charge of arrangements.
